She was a member of the Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren and was the widow of U. Grant Herron, who died Jan. 4, 1959.
Born in Stuarts Draft, on March 18, 1895, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lotts.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence E. Moneymaker of Waynesboro and Ronnie M. Herron of Staunton; six daughters, Mrs. Ruby Marie Herron, Mrs. Gerald M. (Mary Evelyn) Smith of Crimora, Mrs. William A. (Phyllis) Ross of Route 1, Waynesboro, Mrs. Robert F. (Mattie) Estes of Grottoes, Mrs. Lyle J. (Hattie) Allen and Miss Pauline Herron, both of Waynesboro; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ethel McLear of Staunton and Mrs. Evelyn Wheeler of Spottswood; and three brothers, Elmer Lotts of Stuarts Draft, Clarence Lotts of Lafayette, Ind., and Howard Lotts of Raphine.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Etter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy R. Ross, assisted by the Rev. David K. Webster. Interment will be in the Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Crimora.
Active pallbearers will be Harry Smith, Hiram O'Baugh, Robert Gochenour, Lee Brown, George W. Speck and Otho Bruce.
Honorary bearers will be Robert Spangler, Cecil Estes, Olvier Estes, Edward Hammer, Gilbert Ross, George Estes, Otis Bruce, Pete Layne, Amos Hostetter, John Parr, George Plecker, George W. McCourry, Joseph Fitzgerald and Gene Childress.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
