He was born May 16, 1907, in Albermarle County, son of Mrs. Flora Shreves Ross Lotts, of Stuarts Draft, and the late Clinton D. Ross.
Mr. Ross was a former employe of Basic-Witz Furniture Industries and was employed at the Du Pont plant at time of death. He was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Hutchinson Ross, High street, city; three sons, Page, Paul, and Jack, all of this city; four daughters, Mrs. Curtis (Ruth) Coiner, Misses Bessie and Blenda Ross, all of Waynesboro, and Mrs. Boyd (Dorothy) Bright, Stuarts Draft; one granddaughter, Linda Joan Ross, city; one brother, Gilbert Ross, Route 1, city; one sister, Mrs. Elwood Glas, Route 1, city; also a number of nieces and nephews.
Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until the hour of service, Monday at 2 p.m. at the Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Scott C. Hutton with interment in Forest Chapel cemetery, Crimora.
Active pallbearers will be John Newman, James Daughtry, Randolph Gilbert, Gene Thompson, Clarence Kidd and James Dunn.
Honorary bearers will be Avis Stanley, Chester Gregory, Calvin Wood, Hansford Perryman, George Fitzgerald and Jesse Critzer.
