Lifelong Columbia County resident Fred Amos Colvin died at his Deer Island home June 16, 1987, at the age of 95. He was born April 30, 1892, at Marshland, Oregon, and had lived on Deer Island for the past 22 years.
Mr. Colvin was a retired Columbia County road foreman.
He is survived by a daughter, Blanche Bangsund of Deer Island; a brother, Harold Colvin of Marshland; two granddaughers; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens, Oregon with vault interment at Neer City Cemetery, Goble, Oregon. The Rev. Richard Elkins will officiate.
