Mrs. Anderson,82,Dies Here Monday
Mrs. Eleanor Jane (Jennie) Anderson, 82, 122 Third Ave. E., died Monday afternoon at Monroe County Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Monroe county, she was born October 16, 1880, at Foster. She was the daughter of Thomas and Rhoda Pollard Pilkington.
Her husband, Pete Anderson, died in August, 1945.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Eva Jones of Albia, Mrs. Fern O'Hara of Des Moines and Mrs. Edna Shields of Davenport; a sister, Mrs. Mary Rheuport of Des Moines; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Geyer-Lewis Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Hackman officiating. Burial was in Oak View cemetery.
