She was born March 29, 1939 in Nancy, Ky. to Arwin and Goldie Collins Buchanan. On Dec. 20, 1986, she married Ernest A. Ausban in Lafayette, and he survives.
Also surviving are six children, Douglas Lane of Montana, Mary Holmes, Vicki Lane, Connie Kizer, Ed Lane and Mark Lane, all of Lafayette; three stepchildren, Dean Ausban (wife: Iris), Tina Steinbaugh (husband: Barry) and Sam Ausban (wife: Susan), all of Lafayette; two sisters, Helen Moore of Lafayette and Darleen Norfleet of Kentucky; a brother, Roy Buchanan of Michigan; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother.
