Lela V. Stivers 74, of Dongola, died Sunday in Union County Hospital in anna.
She was born Nov. 10, 1897 in Dongola, the daughter of Charles Wesley and Charolette Rosean Peeler McCommons. She was married Ed Stivers on May 2, 1920, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1956. Mrs. Stivers was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dongola.
Survivors include sisters, Mrs. Ivo Casper and Mrs. Effie Elliott both of Dongola.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with the Rev. Lucian Bozart officiating. Burial will be in Dongola American Legion Cemetery.
