He was born in Germany, January 21, 1837, and therefore was 88 years of age. He came to this country at the age of 20 years, locating here on a farm. His wife preceded him in death about 10 years ago.
He is survived by five sons, Stephen and Peter of Sheboygan, Anton of Marytown, and Fred. And Michael of here, one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Bahr (sic) of here, nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Saturday morning from St. Charles church with burial in the adjoining cemetery, Rev. Fr. Hemmer officiating.
