Serwatzius (also called Servis or Cyrus) was the 6th son of Friedrich & Katharina Wendel. He was born on Aug. 24, 1876. When his mother Katharina died on Aug. 9, 1912, Serwatzius was committed to the Sheboygan County Asylum for the Chronicly Insane on Nov. 11, 1912 by his younger brother Fred. He lived there for 4 1/2 years until he passed away on May 24, 1917. He was buried in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Charlesburg, WI, in a plot shared with his brother Carl.
