Peter Wendel was the 4th son of Friedrich and Katharina Wendel. He was born about March, 1870. In 1912, 3 months after his mother Katharina died, Peter was committed to the Asylum in Sheboygan for the Chronicly Insane by his younger brother Fred, along with 3 of his brothers, Carl, Stephan and Serwatzius. Admission date was Nov. 11, 1912. Peter lived there until March 31, 1945 when he passed away at the age of 74. He was then buried in the Potters Field section of Wildwood Cemetery in plot number 40.
