Mary D. Wanta, age 69, Wittenberg, town of Franzen, died September 21, 1978 at St. Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point.

She was born April 18, 1909 in Manawa, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gresen) Weller.

On November 26, 1928 Mary was united in marriage to Onufry Wanta in Galloway. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1978.

Survivors include five sons, William, Tigerton, Robert (Delores), Escondido, CA, Frederick (Betty), Eland, James, Sr., West Allis and Gerald, Sr., Galloway; four brothers, Frank Weller, Rainier, OR, Herman (Ruby) Weller, Wittenberg, Edwin (Lorna) Weller, Eland and George (Ethel) Weller, Wittenberg; two sisters, Emily (Edward) Flaig, Shawano and Clara (Raymond) Kelmen, Appleton; 30 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Alfred and Gustave and three sisters, Georgeann Weller, Mrs. Fred Beckman and Celia Krenn.

Funeral services were held September 23, 1978 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. The Rev. Jerome Kamla officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
