Wm. P. Bruton, 78, Taken in Death
Passes at the Home of his daughter, Mrs. C. F. Benson Monday Evening

William P. Bruton, 78, died Monday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. F. Benson, 813 East Lincoln Avenue. He had made his home with his daughter for the past eight years. Mr. Bruton was born January 4, 1863 at Forsyth, Mo.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. B. O. Grim, Mrs. C. F. Benson, Mrs. Eva Jones all of Wellington and Mrs. T. A. Stark, Ellis, KS.; two sons, Floyd Bruton, Milan and Hugh Bruton, Wellington. Nine grandchildren, Gaines Stark, Thomas Stark, Paul, Grim, Frank Grim, Jack Grim, Fanny Janes Jones, Bobby Benson, Dorothy Jane Benson and Roger Lee Bruton; one great grandchild, Nickie Jo Grim also survive. His wife preceded him in death eleven years ago.

Funeral services will be held at the Frank Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. L. F. Sargent, pastor of the Christian church, officiating.

Burial will be in Prairie Lawn cemetery.

Bruton Rites Held
Funeral services for William P. Bruton were held at the Frank Funeral home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. L. F. Sargent, pastor of the Christian church, officiating.

Singers were Mrs. Ruth McConnell, Mrs. W. H. Moore, Glenn Shofner and Charles Miller with Miss Mary Shriver accompanist. Songs included "Sweet Bye and Bye," "Shall We Gather at the River" by the quartet and a solo "City Four Square" by Glenn Shofner.

Relatives acted as pallbearers.

Burial will be in Prairie Lawn cemetery.
