Daughter of Sarah Jane (Coulter) and William Price Bruton. Wife of William Everette Jones, mother of Fanny Jayne.

Eva G. Jones

Eva Gordon Jones died Wednesday morning at the Wheatland Lodge in South Haven. She was 89.

She was a former Wellington resident and a retired social worker. She handled most of the adoptions for Sumner Co. for many years.

Mrs. Jones was born Dec. 24, 1897 at Bellefonte, Ark., the daughter of William P. and Sarah T. Coulter Bruton. She married William Everett Jones and had lived in Wellington since 1921.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Jayne Moore, of Albuquerque, NM; her brother Floyd Bruton, of Wellington; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmie Reader will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 p.m. tonight and until service time on Saturday.

Memorials have been established with the Wheatland Lodge or the First Baptist Church.

Frank Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
