COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 10/04/1971
Mrs. Edith Hardesty Burch, 85, of 1029 Lynnhurst, died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday [October 3, 1971] at a private nursing home. She was a native of Payneville, KY. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ora Brown and Mrs. Mary Haynes, both of Lafayette, IN, Mrs. Gusta Harms, of Long Beach, CA and Mrs. Lucille Robinson; two sons, Lonnie Burch of New York City, and Robert Burch; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 4335 Hazelwood Ave., where she was a member, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be at Nunnelly Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., after 5 p.m. Monday.
