Shirley A. Dively, 89, PennKnoll Village Nursing Home, Everett, formerly of Claysburg, died Weds, Feb. 24 at the home. Born in Pavia, to Harry L. & Alma (Whysong) Benton. She married J. Willard Dively Oct. 8, 1938, in Cumberland, MD. He died Feb. 15, 1983. Surviving are a son, Jesse M. & wife, Mary Ellen; daughter, Sandra J. Eicher & husband, Sam; grandsons: David A. Dively & wife, Bernice, and Clayton W. Eicher & wife, Carie; gr. grandchildren: Andrew Dively; Amber & Seth Eicher; sisters: Norma Ritchey, Florence Cox & Viola Feather & husband, Melvin; brother, Sheldon Benton & wife, Twila; niece, Karen Wensel, who was a special helper for Shirley; as well as other nieces & nephews. Predeceased by brothers: Leland, Sherman & Rayford Benton; and sisters: Ora Imler & Alda Benton. Lifelong member, Claysburg Church of God. She was employed at the PRR shops during WWII and later at the Martinsburg and Pennsylvania Shoe Factories. Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Interment, Upper Claar Cemetery.
