KNOX -- Mrs. Estie Viola Dunkle, 63, of Cranberry RD 1, widow of George G. Dunkle, died unexpectedly Saturday morning in her home.

She was born in Sligo February 11,1911, a daughter of Charles and Nancy Ellen Aites Aldous.

She was married June 28, 1927, to George G. Dunkle, who died in 1973. Before moving to
Cranberry RD 1, she had lived at Dempseytown and Frogtown.

Mrs. Dunkle attended the Providence United Methodist Church at Knox RD and the Nutrition Program for Senior Citizens in Knox.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Alberta L. Smith of Cooperstown, Mrs. Ray (Eva Mae) Hilcs of Fullerton, Calif., Mrs. Jerry (Dee) Hoth of Girard, Ohio, Mrs. John (Janice) Smith of Cranberry RD 1, Mrs. John (Linda) McHenry of Knox RD 1 and Mrs. John (Marilyn) McClintock of Cooperstown RD 1; five sons, Joseph W. Dunkle of New Bethlehem, Ray Dunkle of Clarion, Harry Dunkle of Fairmount City, Wayne Dunkle of Clarion RD 1 and James Dunkle of North East; 28
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Surviving also are three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Rosella) Theiss of Knox RD, Mrs. Joe (Susanah) Centorcelli of Clarion and Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Holben of Strattanville, and two brothers, John B. Aldous of Strattanville and Thomas M. Aldous of Kenova, W. Va. Deceased along with her
husband are two sisters, two brothers, a grandchild and great-grandchild.

Removal was made to the Roy P. Stuart Funeral Home in Knox where friends are being received and where funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday.

Rev. Lewis H. Fox, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Lamey Cemetery at Dempseytown.
