Mrs. Estella C. Davis, 83, 6107 Main St., Anderson, died in the Sanders Nursing Home in Anderson Saturday at 4:p.m. after an illness of nine months. She was born near Fortville on March 6, 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stottlemyer, and moved to Anderson when a small girl. Mrs. Davis had resided in this area since that time. The deceased was a member of the Whetstone Church.
The body was brought to the Cornell Bright Funeral Home here, where friends were received and where funeral services were conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. A.F. Byrne, pastor of the Whetstone Church. Interment was in the Baptist Cemetery at Ovid.
Surviving are one son, Smithson Davis, Anderson; three grandchildren, Keith, Ronald and Janet Davis, and four sisters and one brother, all deceased.
