CATHERINE A. CROFT, 94

STAUNTON -- Ora Catherine (Arehart) Croft, of 1056 W. Beverley St, died Wednesday (March 24, 2004) at Augusta Medical Center. She was born May 25, 1909, at Middlebrook, to Henry Oscar and Nora Bell (Hawpe) Arehart. She retired from Amalgamated Clothing Company.

Mrs. Croft was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Ashby Croft; eight brothers, Oscar Lightner, Henry Christian, Houston Lynwood, George Raymond, Carey Denham, Randal Curtis, Walter Hamlin and Allen Conway Arehart; and three sisters, Aimee Dorthea Coffman, Lillie Ophelia Miller and Mary Belle Lotts. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Layton of Atlanta, Ga.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Olivet Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Thornrose Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 this evening at Henry Funeral Home.
