SAN MATEO - Lottie Skidmore Woods, 77, of San Mateo, died Tuesday at an Orange Park Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Ohio, she moved to Putnam County in 1940. She was a member of First Baptist Church of San Mateo.
She is survived by her mother, Leota Nutter, of Columbus, Ohio; five sons, Thomas W. Skidmore of Pomona Park, John J. Skidmore of Ormond Beach, Donald W. Skidmore of Palatka, George A. Skidmore of Freeport, Texas, and Charles A. Skidmore of East Palatka; a stepson, Harvey Woods of Canton, Ohio; two daughters, Mary Wilkinson of Bostwick, and Alberta Niles of San Mateo; three sisters, Ruth McConkey, Florence Dobbins and Mary Province; one brother, William Milstead; 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Johnson - Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. V.J. Major and Rev. Gene Janda officiating. Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
