CUMBERLAND — Thomas Alvin Greise Sr., 75, of Cumberland, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at Allegany County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Feb. 4, 1933, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John Richard Greise and Elsie Irene (Dermer) Greise. Mr. Greise was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Greise; a brother, Richard Greise; and two sisters, Regina Lechliter and Catherine Shobe.
A United States Naval veteran of the Korean War, he served as a Second Class Petty Officer Hydraulics Specialist. Tom retired from the Pipe Fitters Union 489. He was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
Tom is survived by daughters, Dorise "Dee" Greise-Fields of Cumberland, with whom Tom resided and TaLona Wagoner and husband, Robert of Fallon, Nev."
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, from 9 to 10 a.m.
A memorial service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at 10 a.m. with Father Ty Hull-inger officiating.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans' Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
