Cumberland, MD Vera Virginia (Greise) Yost, 85, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Born November 28, 1930, in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Yost was the daughter of the late John Richard Greise and Elsie Irene (Deremer) Greise. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Conrad Lawrence Yost, January 26, 2015; three brothers: Eddie, Richard, and Tom Greise; and four sisters: Catherine Shobe, Regina Lechliter, Teresa Edmiston, and Rosalie Beck.
Vera retired from the S. Schwab Company and was a member of the Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
Vera is survived by her daughters: Cathy Amann and husband, John, Naples, FL; Iris Puffenberger and husband, Alan, Cumberland, MD; and Melanie Wilt and husband, Mitchell, Wiley Ford, WV: and her son: Kevin Yost and fiancée, Deborah Martin, Hyndman, PA. She also leaves behind her brother: Sam Greise; and her sisters: Elnora Shobe and Agnes Edmiston. Vera is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer Miller; Matthew Puffenberger and wife, Lora; Tara Puffenberger; Cliff Puffenberger and fiancée, Cassie Brown; Karl Wilt and wife, Shayna; Derek Wilt and wife, Eleanor; Alex Yost; Alyssa Yost; Andrew Yost; Taya Sloan; Tara Sargent and husband, Andrew; Karrie Amann; Katie Eastwood and husband, Eric; and Megan Amann; and her great grandchildren: Braden, Brent, and Gerrit Puffenberger; Rhys, McKenna, Aden, and Esmae Wilt; Wyatt, Cora, and Liam Eastwood.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Monday, March 7, 2016, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 10:00 A.M., with Father John Paul Kuzma, O.F.M. Cap., as celebrant.
Interment will be in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Judes Children Hospital, Saint Jude Tribute Program, Post Office Box #100, Dept. #142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
