Alva was born to Don P.Allen & Mary L.Reed. In Centerville, Pa.. He grow up in Big Flats, N.Y.. He married Alice C.Judd March 3,1906 in Big Flatts, N.Y.. He worked as a Logger and a Farmer. They moved a lot in New York, going where the logging was. After his wife's death, he and his family moved to Rush,N.Y.. That is were he spent his remaining years.

He is survived by eight daughers, Mrs.Howard Keafer, Dania,Fla.; Mrs. Thomas O'Brien of Rush, N.Y.; Mrs. Edward Vercrouse, Newark, N.Y.; Mrs. Grorge Maloney, Rush, N.Y.; Mrs. Alvin Thomas, W.Henrietta; Mrs. LaMonte Dodgson, Urbana, Ill.; Mrs. Eugene Walls, SanAntonin,Tex.; Mrs. Eugene Pratt, Rochester; 17 grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.
-Friends may call at Holla - Learry Funeral Home, 1256 Mt.Hope Ave., after 6 p.m. Sunday, May 3. Time of services to be announced.
