Funeral services for Mrs. J.W. Stewart, Memphian. who died in an Amarillo hospital Wednesday, were held at the First Baptist Church today at 3 p.m.
Rev. Roy Shahan conducted the services. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Murphy-Spicer Funeral Directors.
Pall bearers were: Cecil Stargel, Shirey Patrick, U.W. Coldiron, J.T. Nelson, Hobert Moffitt and Grover Moss.
Mrs. Stewart was born on April 19, 1888, in Navarro County. She married J.W. Stewart on Dec. 25, 1907, and the couple moved to Hall County in 1918. She had been a resident of Memphis for 32 years.
Mrs. Stewart was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband and three daughters: Mrs. Dayne Weatherford, Panhandle; Mrs. Capitola Burton, Mineral Wells, and Mrs. Edna Steele, Ft. Worth.
Two sons, Robert and Gene Stewart, both of Memphis, also survive.
A sister, Mrs. John Perkins of Amarillo, and three brothers, J.A. Berry, C.W. Berry and R.J. Berry, all of Memphis, also survive.
