Samuel Harrison Hollenback, son of Greenberry and Cynthia Hollenback, was born in Boone Co., Indiana, June 17, 1857. He departed this life at his recent home in LaGro Twp., Wabash Co., Dec. 24, 1922 at the age of 65 yrs, 6 mos, 7days.
When a young man, he came to Hamilton Co., afterwards to Howard Co., where on Dec. 29, 1881, he was united in marriage to Miss Lucinda Kuhns.
To this union were born ten children, Joseph Edward of LaGro Twp., Oscar Leander of Miami Co., Orville Delbert at home, Mary Elizabeth at Kokomo, Mrs. Clementine Viola Liston of Tipton, Mrs, Maude Alzonia Reynolds of Bunker Hill, Clara Leora Laura M, Fernada Belle at home and Mrs. Lula Alberta Akers of LaFontaine.
Mr. Hollenback was a member of the United Brethren Church.
Four years ago the family came to Largo Twp., where they have made many friends and acquaintances.
Mr. Hollenback was a faithful husband and father who provided for his own by the labor of his hands and the sweat of his brow.
He leaves to morn their loss besides the widow and children, thirteen grandchildren, two brothers, William and Grant Hollenback of Hamilton County, In., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Short funeral services will be held at the residence at eight o'clock Wednesday morning with the Rev. Jensen in charge. They body will then be taken to the Poudy Pike Evangelical church about eight miles north of Kokomo, Ind., where funeral services will be held, and burial will be at the Memorial Park cemetery in Kokomo.
