Mary Ann Goyen Comingore,94,formerly of Canton,died at 12:05 p.m. April 15, 1997, at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington.
Born February 22, 1903, in Fulton Co., to John and Lucy Libby Williams, she married Harold Goyen,Sr. on April 30, 1923, in Davenport, Iowa. He died November 8, 1945. She later married Cecil D. Comingore on Aug. 5, 1950, in Canton. He died April 7,1977. She was also preceeded in death by one son, Mark Goyen, six grandchildren, four brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are five sons, Harold Jr. of Normal, Dale Goyen of Pekin, Duane Goyen of Springfield, Billy Goyen of Phoenix, and Lester Goyen of Conneticut. Two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Eleanor)Stenger of Canton and Mrs. Joe (Rosalie) Cirilli of Florida, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and five sisters, Florence Campbell of Eureka, Josephine Fish, Viola Gaskill and George Elliott, all of Canton and Margaret Schmidt of Moline.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Services were held April 18th at Murphy-Sedgewick Memorial Home in Canton, the Rev. Dean Bucalos officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
Memorials may be made to Farmington Country Manor or First Christian Church.
