Eureka, IL - Florence Campbell, 99, formerly of Canton, died at 1:18 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2003, at Maple Lawn Health Center.

Born April 2, 1904, in Fulton County to John and Lucy Libby Williams, she married James Julian Campbell on June 22, 1922, in Fulton County. He died July 29, 1969, in Clearwater, Fla.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers and eight sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Jacquelyn (and Francis) Clary of Washington; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Margaret Schmidt of Moline, and Viola Gaskill and Josephine Fish, both of Canton.

A former volunteer for the Red Cross for more than 40 years in Canton and Clearwater, she did sewing and knitting for the group. She also was a volunteer for Clearwater Community Hospital for 25 years.

She was a former member of Clearwater Methodist Church.

Cremation will be accorded. Arrangements are by MasonWhite Funeral Home in Washington.
