Mr. Spencer ( C.A.) Smith Sr., age 87 of Summertown, TN. passed away April 11, 1981 at his home after a short illness. He was a native of Lewis county and a member of the Church of God. He was the son of the late Buford and Hattie Bell Vanhouser Smith. He is a retired farmer.
Funeral services were Monday at 2:30 at Center Grove Church of God with Bro. Bill Webb and Bro. Jack Cates officiating. Burial was in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery with Lay Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ada M. Smith, Summertown, TN.; seven daughters, Mrs. Lucille Jones, Nashville, TN., Mrs. Lorine Powell, Lewis Co., TN., Mrs. Lila Mae Price, Florence, AL., Mrs. Magilene Gobble, Leoma, TN, Mrs. Christine Hobbs, Lawrenceburg, TN, Mrs. Jerry Noblit, Lawrenceburg, TN, Mrs. Nancy Bell Self, Lawrenceburg, TN; five sons, Warren Smith, Ft.
