Magilene Gobble, 85, of Leoma, Tenn. died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home in Florence, Ala.
A native of Giles County, Tenn., she was a retired cook from Murray Ohio Mfg. and a member of the Fall River United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Columbus Alexander and Ada Bell McClure Smith, her husband, William S.R Gobble, six brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Neal Funeral Home Chapel with Ricky Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors are: two daughters, Mabellene Daniel (Roy) of Leoma, Tenn. and Peggy Holt (Tom) of Florence, Ala.; four sons. Harold Gobble (Brenda) of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Calvin Gobble (Becky) of Iron City, Tenn., Jerry Gobble (Terri) of Leoma, Tenn., Terry Gobble ( Melisa) of Union, MO.; three brothers, Buddy Smith, Louisville, KY., C.A. Smith, Louisville, KY., and Finia Smith, Mt. Washington, KY.; two sisters, Lila Price, Cloverdale, Al., and Nancy Self, Leoma, Tn.; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
Neal Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
