Suzanne W. GAST, 59, Rt. 2, Akron, died at 11 p.m. Tuesday in her home. She had been ill a year.
She was born June 24, 1926 in Fulton County to Roy "Jack" and Lola HALDEMAN MORRIS. On May 23, 1948 in Akron, she was married to Thomas GAST, who survives. She was a secretary for Tom Gast and Sons Sales and Service, and was a member of Akron United Methodist Church, the former Akron Eastern Star, Kappa Delta Phi and Delta Gamma sororities, Daughters of the American Revolution and Sorority of Mayflower Descendents.
Surviving with the husband are three daughters, Mrs. John (Rebecca) HILL and Jennifer GAST, both of Akron, and Mrs. Charles (Melissa) ALEXANDER, Rt. 1, Silver Lake; two sons, Mark [GAST], Rt. 1, Claypool, and Matthew [GAST], Akron; nine grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) TOMBAUGH, Rt. 1, Claypool, and Mrs. Albert (Kathleen) JENNENS, Rt. 2, Akron. A brother, Jack D. [MORRIS], and a grandchild preceded in death.
Services will be at 11 .m. Friday in the Akron United Methodist Church with the Rev. Merlyn COX officiating. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and on Friday at the church for an hour before time of services. Memorials may be made to the Akron United Methodist Church buiulding fund.
