FRITCH - Rev. Charles E. McDowell, 83, of No. 7 Mustang Road in Fritch died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday in his home.

The Rev. McDowell was pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Borger from 1944-1951 and pastor of the Bible Baptist Church from 1951-1960.

A Fritch resident for six years, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fritch.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Ken Curtis, pastor of First Baptist Church in Fritch, officiating.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Highland Park Cemetery under direction of Alexander-Simpson Funeral Directors.

Survivors include his wife, Susie, of the home; three sons, Joseph A. of Des Moines, Iowa; John R. of Dallas; and David E. of Wilburton, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Estes of Boise City, Idaho and Mrs. Libby Elms of Amarillo; four brothers, Arthur of Mesa, Ariz.; Leslie of Waterloo, Iowa; Kenneth of Veann, Okla.; Keith of Scocia, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Northup of Gardenia, Calif.; and Mrs. Lucille White of Deerfield, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be D.O. Kuner, W.V. Bowling, V.E. Deaton, J.R. Triplett, R.J. Andrews and T.P. Lewis.
