Mary Agnes Estes, 86, of Boise passed away Sept. 29, 2006.Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Oct. 3, 2006, at the Ustick Baptist Church, Boise, with Pastor Greg Reider officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home. Mary was born Aug. 8, 1920 in Grinnell, Iowa to Charles and Susie McDowell. She married Ernest Thompson on May 26, 1937. They had two children, Phyllis Ann and Phillip Leroy. In 1951, Mary moved to Boise. She met L. Edward Estes in 1955 and they were married Jan. 7, 1956. They made their home in Lowman, Idaho. A son, Michael Edward, and a daughter, Sue Ellen, were born. They moved to Boise in 1960, and a daughter, Kay Louise, was born. Mary was employed as a full charge bookkeeper for B and B Theaters. She was an avid knitter and devoted gardener, which included her passion for her berry patches. She was a member of the Ustick Baptist Church for over 40 years. She had been a member of the American Business Women´s Association, and a local knitting club. Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, L. Edward Estes of Boise; her daughter, Phyllis Turturici (Tony) of Boise; her daughter, Sue E. Johnson (Tim) of Brighton, Mich.; her daughter, Kay L. Brown (Kelly) of Boise; her grandchildren, Lynne Dopko, Tara Gideon, Andrew Monahan, and Brandon Mahoney; and her great-grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Dopko, and Devin and Natalie Gideon. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sons.
