The daughter of Charles F. "Carl" Prigge, Sr. and Christina Kreutel, Caroline was confirmed on 07 Apr 1861 at Salem Lutheran Church in Black Jack, St. Louis County, Missouri.

Caroline married Charles Heinrich "Carl Henry" Trampe on 11 Feb 1866 in St. Louis, Missouri. They were the parents of 11 children.

Caroline was a homemaker. Carl was a farmer in St. Louis County.

Caroline died of liver cancer at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 2 days.

She was survived by her husband, Carl; 3 daughters, Christina Meinholts, Bertha Hammerschmidt and Laura Trampe; 3 sons, Adolph Trampe, Herman Trampe and Julius Trampe; and many extended family members.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. on the afternoon of 01 Dec 1918 at the family home located at Larimore Road and Trampe Lane. From there, they were continued at Salem Lutheran Church in Black Jack.

Caroline's husband, Carl, was killed in a farm accident the following summer. She shares a marker with him and 3 of their children.

Children: 6 sons, 3 daughters, 2 infants.
