The son of Charles Heinrich "Carl Henry" Trampe and Caroline Elisabeth Prigge, Adolph was baptized on 21 Feb 1875 at Salem Lutheran Church in Black Jack, St. Louis County, Missouri. His sponsors were Carl Prigge, Wilhelm Trampe and Franz Krenning.

Adolph was hospitalized at Park Lane Hospital for the final 72 days of his life. Less than a week before his death there, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and pulmonary infarction. At the time of his passing, he was 76 years, 6 months and 22 days old.

He was survived by 2 sisters, Christina Meinholtz and Laura Trampe; and 2 brothers, Herman Trampe and Julius Trampe.

In addition to his mother and father, Adolph was preceded in death by 1 sister, Bertha Hammerschmidt. He never married.

Visitation was held on 05 Aug 1951 at Math Hermann and Son's Chapel at Fair and West Florissant Avenue in north St. Louis County, Missouri. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on the afternoon of 06 Aug 1951 at Salem Lutheran Church in Black Jack.
