Mrs. Conner was born November 19, 1913 nears Brownstown, the daughter of William and Lora [Edith] (Griffith) Long. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jeff[erson] D. Lilly in Thomas C[leo] "Crege" Conner. Survivors include two sons, Oren R. Lilly of Cumberland Furnace, Tenn. and William H. Lilly of Shelbyville; daughters, Mrs. James (Delores "Dee") [Meyer] Stever of Greenville, Mrs. Richard (Lora) Brown of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Lonnie (Betty) Ammann of Vandalia, Mrs. Michael (Donna) Scott of rural Greenville, and Mrs. Ervine (Tommy) Elam of Waverly, Tenn.; a sister, Effie Brazel of Effingham; half-sisters, Virginia Long of Greenville, Madonna Shane of Little Rock, Ark., and Joan Jalbert of Smithboro; a half-brother, Ralph Long of Carlyle; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Josephine (Lilly) Long; sister, Nellie Hissong and brother, James Long; and twin siblings, Lessie and Jessie Long.
Mrs. Conner was reared near Brownstown and worked at Crane Packing for 10 years, and then as a nurse's aide in local nursing homes. She was affiliated with the Christian Church and was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Greenville. Memorials may be made to Utlaut Memorial Hospital.
