Madonna Louisa Shane, 76, of Prescott, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002.

She was born September 3, 1925, in Loudon Township, Fayette County, Illinois to William and Josephine Lilly Long. She was a homemaker.

Cherishing her memory are: three daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Ken Richards, Linda and Ed Brammar, and Jo Lu Shane; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Inis Long; one sister, Joan Jalbert; four grandsons, Todd Richards, Bret Richards, Sean Brammer and Matthew Phillips; two granddaughters, Jennie Gorena and Laura Ruggeri; and 11 great-grandchildren, Ben Gorena, Zachery Richards, Ambur Richards, Roman Richards, Drew Richards, Nick Gorena, Cade Richards, Skye Gorena, Hunter Brammar, Blaze Gorena, and Camryn Ruggeri.

She was preceded in death by her father William Long, her mother Josephine Lilly Long, two brother James Long and Jesse Long, and five sisters, Lessie Belle Long, Nellie Hissong, Virginia Long, Hazel Conner and Effie Brazle.

Services were held Friday, February 8, 2002, at the Prescott Church of Christ at 10 a.m. with John Billingsley and Howard Horton officiating. Burial followed at the Antoine Cemetery.

Services entrusted to the Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott.
