Allen was married to his niece Colin Peters, daughter of George Peters and Sarah West. Colin and Allen had no known children. Allen adopted Charlie Jones West when Charlie was 10. Charlie Jones West was Allen's natural son born out of wed-lock.
Allen was married to his niece Spicey West, daughter of Handy and Martha (Dudley) West. Allen and Spicey had one child Luther.
Allen gave affidavit for his step-mother Silvey Harmon West inApril 1860 for the Revolutionary War pension of Willis West Sr.
