Edythe Fern Allan Grable, 90, of Platte County, MO, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2003, at the Alpine North Care Facility in Riverside, MO. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 23, at Rollins Funeral Chapel in Platte City, MO. Interment will be in the Dearborn Cemetery in Dearborn, MO. Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday evening January 22, at the funeral home The family suggests contributions to the Dearborn Methodist Church or the North Care Hospice. Mrs. Grable was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church of Dearborn, MO. She was a lifelong resident of Platte County, MO. She was a member of the Fun & Friendship Club of Dearborn, and the Friendly Seniors of Camden Point, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lance and Nellie Mae (Davis) Chesnut, her first husband, William Ray Allan, December 15, 1987, her second husband, Jesse "Lee" Grable, April 26, 1995, one infant daughter, twin brothers, one sister, Maurine Roberts, and one stepson, Don. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Sue Hunt and her husband, Marlin, of Peculiar, MO, and Clara Mae Ehlers and her husband, Hubert of Gladstone, MO, one sister, Jean Porter of Camden Point, MO, six grandchildren, Jeff, Greg, Pam, Curtis, Julie and Allan, nine great-grandchildren, Rocky, Brandon, Alicia, Josh, Sean, Chris, Emma, Davis, and Carl. Mrs. Grable is also survived by five stepsons, Albert, Gary, George, Norman and Herman, and one stepdaughter, Nadine.
