Born March 3, 1921, in Braggadocio, Mo., daughter of the late Johnnie and Bessie Thomas Vaughn, she was employed at the Whirlpool Ad Center.
She married Clinton Evett, who preceded her in death on June 16, 2005. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Harley Vaughn and two sisters, Nancy Vaughn and Maxine Fleming.
Survivors include nine children, Harold Evett, of Paragould, Ark., Glynn Evett and wife, Thelma and Kenneth Evett and wife, Candy, all of Benton Harbor, Mich., Johnnie Dale Evett and wife, Carol, of Alexander, Ark., Donnie Evett and wife, Sandy, Charlotte Evett, Gary Evett and wife, Sue, Randy Evett and Cindy Haney and husband, Kevin, all of Coloma; three brothers, T.J. Vaughn and wife, Helen and James Vaughn and wife, Bonnie, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and mack Vaughn and wife Bobbie, of Blytheville, Ark.; two sisters, Ella Davis, of Watervliet, Mich., and Hazel Handley, of Poplar Bluff; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 31, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with the Rev. Huey Meherg officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville, Mo.
