Donald "Donnie' Ray Evett, 63 of Coloma died Sunday, January 10 at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven.

A service celebrating his life will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, January 14 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where visitation will be Wednesday from 5 – 8 pm. Burial will be in Coloma Cemetery.

Donnie was born September 20, 1946 in Haiti, MO to Clinton and Tennie (Vaughn) Evett. He was an avid NASCAR fan who loved to hunt, fish, and tinker with old cars.

Survivors include one son Eric Evett of Coloma; two daughters Ladonna Villarreal of Corpus Christi, TX and Lawinda (John) Milnickel of Manila, Ark. Also surviving are six brothers; Harold Evett of Corning, Ark, Glynn (Thelma) Evett of Benton Harbor, Kenneth (Candy) Evett of Benton Harbor, John (Carol) Evett of Alexander, Ark, Gary (Sue) Evett of Coloma, Randy Evett of Coloma; two sisters, Charlotte Evett of Coloma, Cindy (Kevin) Haney of Coloma, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his wife Sandy in 2008.
