WILLIAM SHAW
William H.Shaw, 86, of 215 S. Antler St., Gladwin, died suddenly Wednesday, Nov. 12,at his home. Born in Gladwin Dec. 24, 1899, he had spent his lifetime here. Mr.Shaw was a custodian at the Gladwin High School and retired in 1965. Hewas married to the former Viola Cross May 16, 1936, in Flint. She died Oct. 2, 1977, Mr. Shaw then married Veva Hetherington May 12, 1979, in Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a foster son, Richard Stone of Beaverton; a step-son, Vernon Chrysler of Southfield; 4 brothers, John, Roy and Clayton of Gladwin, and Clarence of Harrison; one sister, Mrs. Edith Pero of Gladwin; and 2 grandchildren. Three brothers and 4 sisters preceded him in death.
Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Joel Hurley officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery.
