Rose Shaw daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Shaw, died Monday, March 17, at the family residence, 910 Remington ave., Flint, Mich., of diphtheria, following a three-day illness. She was born April 28, 1909, in Gladwin and at her death was aged 14 years, 10 months and 18 days. She is survived by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters, all living in Flint except one brother, Roy, at Bard, and one sister, Mrs. James Bennett of Gladwin, and many other relatives and friends.
Burial services were held at the Ridge cemetery Friday afternoon, Rev. L. F. Burkey officiating. Gladwin County Record dated 3-27/1924 Column – 2 Page – 4.
