MARY E. NELSON

Services were held Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary E. Nelson, 71, of Wooden Shoe Village. Mrs. Nelson died Wednesday, April 7, at Saginaw General Hospital.

She was born in Gladwin December 24, 1899, the former Miss Mary E. Shaw. She and her husband, Elbert, had made their home in Flint for the past 40 years, moving to their present home eight weeks ago. Mrs. Nelson was a past noble grand of the Genesee Rebekah Lodge No. 355.

Survivors are Mr. Nelson; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Jones of Gladwin; and a son, Robert of Youngstown, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Bennett of Gladwin, and Mrs. Edith Pero of Clio; five brothers, William, John and Clayton, all of Gladwin, Clarence of Flint, and Roy of Santa Barbara, Calif.; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The Rev. John Cermak officiated at the services and burial was in Mountainview Cemetery at McBain. Gladwin County Record dated 4-14/1971 Column - 1 Page - 2.
