Died at 11:15 a.m. Monday at Baton Rouge General Hospital. Resident of Rt. 1, Walker, and 53 years old. Native of Livingston Parish. Religious services at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home, Denham Springs, conducted by Rev. P. W. Sibley and Rev. Frank Bunch. Burial in Palmetto Cemetery.

Active pallbearers: Leslie Bendily, Kenneth Aime, John Barnett, Robin Hood Jr., Claude Peak and Boyd Ellis Hood.

Honorary pallbearers: Charlie Kiper, Clarence Kiper, Miller Anderson, Clyde Hood, Norwood Harris, Burl Watts, D. P. James and Dr. Ewell Kemp.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie Bendily Hood; his father, Ellis I. Hood, Denham Springs; two sons, Sidney M. Hood Jr., Denham Springs, and Mack Ellis Hood, Baton Rouge; a sister, Mrs. W. C. Peak, Denham Springs; three brothers, Boyd and Robin Hood, both of Denham Springs, and Coburn Hood of Baton Rouge.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.
