Died Saturday, Dec. 4, at 8:30 a.m. in Dixon Memorial Hospital, Denham Springs. He was 89, a resident of 1113 Florida Ave., Denham Springs, and a native of Livingston Parish. Retired timber and cattle man. Body at Hollobaugh Spindle Funeral Home in Denham Springs until 2:45 p.m. Sunday. Religious service at First Methodist Church, Denham Springs, Sunday at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev. Harold Hine and Rev. Dewitt Milton. Burial in Palmetto Cemetery, Walker.

Survived by three sons, I. Coburn Hood, Baton Rouge, and Robin Hood and Boyd Hood, Denham Springs; one daughter, Mrs. W. C. Peak, Denham Springs; two brothers, Ollie and Norris Hood, Denham Springs; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Member of First Methodist Church, Denham Springs.

In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be sent to the First Methodist Church Building Fund or to Walker Methodist Church.
