He was born Aug. 19, 1915 in Lawrence County to Samuel W. and Daisy A. (Altman) Miller. On Feb. 12, 1940, he married Peachy Nickell in Waverly and she preceded him in death on Nov. 4, 1998.
Surviving are five sons, Lester (Doris) Miller of Kalispell, Mont., Jim Miller and Chuck Miller, both of Dola and Jack (Ellen) Miller and Ronald (Carol) Miller, both of Dunkirk; a daughter, Shirley (Dennis) Jordan of Dunkirk; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Forest (Delcia) Miller of Kentucky and two sisters, Florence Oliver of Springfield and Goldie (Don) Hall of Virginia Beach, Va.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Floyd, Elmer, Chester, Paul T. and John Miller and two sisters, Stella Sibole and Carrie Guinn.
He retired from Rockwell International in 1981.
He attended various churches in Hardin County. He loved attending church and talking about the goodness of God and working outside.
Memorials may be made to Hardin County Hospice.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Price Funeral Home in Dunkirk by Pastor Robert Smith. Burial will be in the Dunkirk Cemetery.
