Services for Johnny A. Miller will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Dunkirk, by Pastor Anthony Krummrey. Burial will be in Dunkirk Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
He died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at his residence.
He was born May 5, 1924, in Pedro, to Samuel W. and Daisy A. (Aultman) Miller. On Sept. 8, 1942, he was married to Nellie J. Tackett and she survives in Dunkirk.
Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy Tillman of Kenton and Linda (Patrick) Ream of Dunkirk; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Miller of Dola and Forest (Delcia) Miller of Kentucky; and two sisters, Florence Oliver of Springfield and Goldie (Don) Hall of Virginia Beach, Va.
He was preceded in death by two sons: Ronald and Rickey Miller, a daughter, Joyce Crowe; four brothers: Paul, Floyd, Elmer and Chester Miller and two sisters: Stella Sibole and Carrie Guinn.
He was retired from U.A.P. in Forest after 32 years.
He was secretary and treasurer of Oak Harbor Church, Dunkirk, and Ada Full Gospel Church for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy from May 19, 1943, to Nov. 13, 1945.
