Otilia Aanenson die Monday at the Luverne Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 14,1893, in Vamestad, Lyndhal, Norway, and attended grade school in Norway. She came to the United States Jan. 28, 1911.
Otilia Vamestad and Ole Aanenson were married Sept. 6, 1911, in Luverne. They farmed until retiring and moving to Luverne in 1936.
Ole Aanenson died in 1937.
Otilia Aanenson is survived by fours sons, Orville Aanenson, Luverne, Norman Aanenson, Magnolia, Gordon Aanenson, Kanaranzi, and Howard Aanenson, Pipestone; seven daughters, Mrs. Alfie Brandenburg, Luverne, Olga (Mrs. Edward) Brandenburg, Luverne, Alma (Mrs. Earl) Ellsworth, Magnolia, Norma (Mrs. Douglas) Zimmerman, Golden Valley, Ramona (Mrs. Bill) Skidmore, Anoka, Orla (Mrs. Bill) Powell, Fairfax, VA, and JoAnn (Mrs. Gary) Barmore, Cedar Rapids, IA; 32 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bertina Sunde, Norway.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Thelma (Mrs. Archie) Bonnett and Opal Ramona, three grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.
Otilia Aanenson was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Degree of Honor Lodge.
