Mrs. H. P. Palmer Taken by Death
Mrs. Harold P. Palmer age 65 of 210 High St., City, wife of Rev. H. P. Palmer passed away Friday evening at 6:40 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Palmer was born Dorothy H. Elyea Dec. 7, 1898 in Jewell, Kansas and is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Elyea.
She was married to Rev. H. P. Palmer of Backus, Minn., June 3, 1917 in International Falls were they lived two years, then lived in Superior two years, and in Minneapolis two years, then moved to Backus Minn., where they lived until moving to Chippewa Falls one year ago.
She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church. She was on the State Committee for the Womens Group at the Minnesota Baptist Convention.
Survivors are her husband, Rev. H.P. Palmer and one son, Sidney of St. Paul, Minn., and one daughter who is a missionary in N. Nigeria, West Africa. Five grandchildren, two sisters Mrs. Floyd Skeesuck of Grand Rapids, Minn., Mrs. Theodore Coonts of Snohomish, Wash., three brothers, Cecil Elyea of Paddock Lake, Wis., Dale Elyea of Woodstock, Ill., and Edwin Elyea of Belleville, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers. Friends may call at the Hogseth Federson Funeral Chapel from Sunday 10:00 a.m. until funeral time.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon 2 p.m. at the Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Hollowood of Minneapolis, officiating.
Interment will be made in the Evergreen Cemetery in Backus, Minn., on Tuesday at two p.m. with Rev. Boomgarten of Backus, Minn., officiating.
