Blue Earth Woman Survived by Wells Kin -- Funeral Services at Evangelical Church
Mrs. Agnes Gaines Conrad's funeral services were held Friday at 2 pm at Salem Evangelical U B Church in Blue Earth, the Rev. E. M Schendel officiating. Burial was made in Wells.
Mrs. Agnes Gaines Conrad was born February 14, 1863, in Juneau County, Wisconsin, and died Wednesday June 1st at her home in Blue Earth. She was ill only seven weeks. Her only daughter, Mrs. G. A. Lake of Tulsa, Okla, took care of her.
Mrs. Conrad came with her parents to Faribault County in 1864, where they settled on a farm near Wells. On December 25, 1883, she married Emil Schallibaum of Wells. To this union was born one daughter, Elizabeth. Mr. Schallibaum died on April 28, 1887.
On January 5, 1893, she married August Conrad and the couple moved to Blue Earth. She joined the Evangelical Church in 1896. In Blue Earth she became a member of Salem Church. Mr. Conrad died January 26, 1918.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. G. A. Lake, Tulsa, Okla. One grandson, A. G. Lake, Clinton, Okla. two granddaughters, Mrs. Helen Lewis, Tulsa, Okla. and Elizabeth Tyson, San Antonio, Tex.
Five brothers, The Rev. William A Gaines, a minister in the South Dakota Conference, Evangelical U B Church and now retired, at Big Stone, S. D., Frank Gaines, Glencoe, John, Henry and Alfred Gaines of Wells, two sisters, Mrs. J. C .Kirschner and Mrs. William Passer, both of Wells, also survive ---- Faribault County Register.
