Obituary
A. S. Rudesill

Andrew Scott Rudesill died Thursday morning, Dec. 24, 1914 at eleven o'clock in the Bethesda Hospital of St. Paul.

He had been in poor health for some time. Dec. 1 he was operated upon. He improved rapidly from his operation until a few days before he died. His death, which was very sudden, was due to chronic nephritis.

His body was brought home Christmas Eve, the day he had planned on returning home.

The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon. The remains were taken to the M. E. Church at New Centerville for the funeral services and were later laid to rest beside those of his wife in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. Davies.

Andrew Scott Rudesill was born September 18, 1851 in Champion, Ohio. Here he spent his boyhood days and here he lost his father. He came to Wisconsin with his mother, sisters and brothers when he was sixteen. They settled on the farm that later became his own home and where, upon January 1, 1885, he brought Mary Grace Guiser, his bride. She proceeding him to their final rest by only 37 days.

In the death of Mr. Rudesill the community loses a good man and the church one of its strongest members, but, as in the death of Mrs. Rudesill, he will be missed the most in the home where the children now have neither father nor mother to go to for help and kindly advice. He leaves to mourn his loss - two daughters, three sons, four sisters and two brothers besides a host of other relatives and friends.
