1916 - WM. BARNEBEY CALLED MONDAY NIGHT
It was shocking news to the populace of Mullen and this part of the country when the words were uttered Tuesday morning that Wm. Barnebey had been called away during Monday night. Deceased had been a sufferer from diabetes for considerable time, and this ailment together with heart affliction, it is said, stands responsible for his response to the reaper's call.
Up to the hour of going to press, obituary notes have not been furnished; however, we can make the assertion that we know of nobody who has filled the place of a man, a man in all heart, soul and character any better than has William Barnebey. Funeral services were conducted from the M. E. Church at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon by Rev. E. D. Gideon, and interment made in Cedarview Cemetery.
As above stated obituary notes not being at hand up to this time, a complete notice of the life of deceased will appear in these columns next week.
The Tribune bows its head in sorrow together with the many other friends of the bereaved ones in the taking away of a dear husband and father.
